Darjeeling 1st Flush from the Gopaldhara Tea Estate. FTGFOP1 Clonal Queen. The champagne of Black teas, Darjeeling has an unmatched distinctive natural flavour with a floral aroma. Grown on steep slopes in West Bengal, Darjeeling gets its unique flavour and aroma from the misty Himalayan mountain climate, soil conditions and high altitude. When brewed it is light in colour and has a rather musky spiciness to it known as “muscatel”. Can be served with or without milk.

Consistently good first flush. Not the best but better than the rest.
Although the tea is not from a new batch, it still has flavour and is reasonably priced.
Great quality tea leaves, nice flavour and colour. We have this at breakfast and lunch with our meal.
You have to taste this tea to understand the wonderful flavours. The difference in taste between first flush and ordinary darjeeling tea is astonishing. You may think at first sight that it is expensive, but the intensity of flavour is such that you only need a few leaves per cup so it ends up being economical.
Great tasting tea.
By far the nicest Darjeeling tea I've drunk, having been disappointed by previous purchases. Would recommend
Love the flavour of this tea!
Superb tasting tea, perfect for an afternoon cup. Excellent service from Chiswick Tea Co as well
good standard darjeeling
First Flush Darjeeling is found in other places but usually at silly prices. The Doomtee Estate First Flush is high quality tea giving that golden whiskey coloured sparkle in the cup but with the complex subtle flavours that it is renowned all at a realistic price. I shall be returning for more.
